Summary

Windows that won't stay open or have cloudy, failed glass can make a home less comfortable and less efficient. This project addressed both issues for a residential property in Milford, where the window balancers needed replacement and one insulated glass unit had lost its seal.

The Work

Removed and replaced ten worn string balancer assemblies on Andersen Narroline windows to restore smooth sash movement
Installed a new double pane insulated glass unit to replace the failed panel without altering the existing window frame
Checked balance, operation, and locking function of each serviced window
Disposed of all removed components and left the area clean

The Outcome

Now, the windows open and stay in place without slipping, and the new insulated glass unit provides clear views and better insulation. The repairs extended the useful life of the windows while keeping the original look of the home intact. Anyone using these rooms can enjoy easier operation and a more comfortable space.
